I cannot believe I almost forgot to share photos from the Gaultier Exhibit! Not that it really matters at this point because I’m sure everyone’s seen and heard about it on social media (especially the holographic faces on the mannequins). It was really great to see the clothes in person – I honestly didn’t realize Gaultier’s scope and influence on pop culture, directly or arbitrarily. Anyway, Le Boyfriend bought tickets for Valentine’s Day weekend but because of the head injury I got from The Great Fall of February, we had to wait until the next weekend to venture out to Brooklyn for the exhibit. Scroll below for some pics of my faves.
Heading out of Brooklyn, we stopped by Buffalo Exchange to sell some stuff & I found a bejeweled peter pan necklace. I’m usually picky about jewelry (nothing that turns my skin blue, please) but this one had really sparkly crystals and it’s of a substantial weight so I caved. Stopped by White Manna in New Jersey for some delicious sliders before heading home to Manhattan. It was a pretty awesome date!
That photo of fries smothered in ketchup? Yeah, that’s Brian’s, not mine. I’m not a heathen so I like my ketchup on the side, thankyouverymuch. Also, if you ever want to visit White Manna, you should make sure that you don’t have plans afterwards. First of all, you’re going to smell like food. There’s no getting around it – the aroma of burgers, fries, and caramelized onions will be permeated in your skin, your clothes, your hair, and pretty much your life. And you don’t want to be THAT person at the the bar who smells like food. Second of all, you will also be slapped in the face with the worst food coma known to man. Eating at this place, regardless of how many sliders you order, is like eating at Chipotle – you will walk away pregnant with a food baby. You’ve been warned.
