Yeti Tracks at Snowdays

I love shaved ice – it’s lighter than it’s cream counterpart and makes me all nostalgic because my grandma used to have one of those manual shaved ice machines. I got the Yeti Food: It’s Yeti Tracks shaved ice with bananas, waffles cones, & blueberry puree. Next time I’m getting the same thing but with mochi – it’s so good! Click through for more pics!

Seated Ballerina

Stopped by Rockefeller Center after work yesterday to see Jeff Koons’ giant Seated Ballerina. The weather was so beautiful that if we didn’t have our little furball anxiously waiting for us at home, Brian and I would have had dinner al fresco (with a nice glass of rose).

The Good Sort

There are handfuls of the Starbucks Unicorn Latte photos circulating on my timelines and it reminded me of this drink I got over the weekend which is the complete antithesis. Don’t get me wrong, I love sugar on cheat days! But I just can’t believe how delicious this Superfood Rainbow Latte was from The Good Sort – this cute vegan cafe in Chinatown.

The Rainbow Latte isn’t actually a latte because it does NOT have espresso. It doesn’t have any artificial food coloring – the colors are from beet juice, turmeric, and blue algae. It tastes more like a coconut milk-based spiced tea – it’s so good! Ordered it with a hefty slice of Avocado Toast because I could never say no to avocado toast. Click through for pics!

Date Night in Chinatown

I love Chinatown. It’s bustling and so full of life – you step out of a candy store, cross the street to find yourself in front of Durian fruit then round the corner and step into a vendor’s fish stall. It’s really incredible.

Brian and I found ourselves downtown and hungry – and seeing as Joe’s Shanghai had a wait list about a mile long, we rounded the corner on Doyle and opted for Nom Wah Tea Parlor instead. Nom Wah has been around since the 1920’s and they consistently have delicious dim sum. We ordered salt & pepper shrimp (FAVE), pork buns, crystal shrimp dumplings, XLB’s (soup dumplings), and the shrimp dumplings with snow pea leaf. So good!

Afterwards, we HAD to stop by Eggloo for some ice cream in a bubble waffle cone. I mean, obviously. Click through for more pics!

Times Square & Over the Bridge

I’m never at Times Square. I work in midtown Manhattan but never really had a reason to go deep into the belly of the beast until a couple of weeks ago – when we decided to check out the Spring/Break Art Show. Of course, I had to take photos!

Afterwards, Brian and I drove across the GW bridge to visit my mom & sis – but not after stopping by one of my all-time favorite spots in Bergen County: The Fireplace. Click through for more photos!
