Feck yes, no tights!

So I just found out that House is now on Netflix. Goodbye social life (or whatever is left of it). In other news, I wore this last week when I slept over a college friend’s apartment in New Jersey. Girls’ night in with wine and chinese take-out was exactly what I needed.

From the Archives: Gaultier at the Brooklyn Museum, Buffalo Exchange, & White Manna burgers!

I cannot believe I almost forgot to share photos from the Gaultier Exhibit! Not that it really matters at this point because I’m sure everyone’s seen and heard about it on social media (especially the holographic faces on the mannequins). It was really great to see the clothes in person – I honestly didn’t realize Gaultier’s scope and influence on pop culture, directly or arbitrarily. Anyway, Le Boyfriend bought tickets for Valentine’s Day weekend but because of the head injury I got from The Great Fall of February, we had to wait until the next weekend to venture out to Brooklyn for the exhibit. Scroll below for some pics of my faves.

Peezus. Bow Down.

Hi Spring, I’ve missed you!

In other news, I need to be more careful when I buy tops regardless of the markdown price. For instance, this silk top from Joie was only available in the largest size possible but it was pretty and the color was lovely so I bought it anyway. I wore this yesterday and realized that the neckline is SO BIG, it practically gaped down to my bra. Not only that but the armholes are SO WIDE that you can see my soul from the side if I raised my arms. I had to use a lot of double-stick to practically tape the blasted top to my body. Lesson learned.

The Grand Budapest Hotel & Tortaria

New York is doing this really cute thing where it’s super nice and springy one day and then being in an arctic chill the next. My wardrobe is confused and so am I.

If we’re friends on social media, you’ll know that I’ve been mentioning it all week but I’m so so SO excited to see The Grand Budapest Hotel tonight! I’m a huge Wes Anderson fan; he’s one of my favorite film makers (because of his AMAZING film sets/props/costumes, the color schemes, and his awesome camera angles). Can you imagine being a part of any of his productions? UGH I’d love to live in one of his movies. Maybe I’ll have a Wes Anderson-themed party instead. If you’re not familiar, here’s a really cool video! (Although it hardly does his work justice.)

I’m seeing it at Union Square but not until after dinner at Tortaria – another one of my faves! Their tacquitos & grilled corn? YUM.

I’m just hoping that nothing bad happens – the last time I went on a dinner+movie date, I slipped, lost my memory for about half an hour and got rushed to the emergency room. Best date ever! Crossing my fingers that my brain is intact by the time I get home because I’m pretty sure that Budapest Hotel is something I’m going to want to remember.

Brooklyn and Tweed

Multicolored tweed jacket over hooded, hot-pink slicker over cream lace. Worn with a micro pleated pink skirt. Because you can never have too much pink, obviously.
