Rockin Around the Christmas Tree

Hi all! Two more days until Christmas! I wanted to share some photos of holiday ornaments that I worked on a couple of weeks ago. Inspired by this awesome tumblr, I made a couple of ornaments based on mine and Brian’s favorite fictional characters. Boba Fett is awesome. Boba Fett with gold glitter is EVEN MORE AWESOME.

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas! PS: My Blog is Officially One Year Old!

It’s my blog’s 1st year anniversary! To celebrate, I’ll share my weekend of hardcore nesting/crafting/baking.

I had pancakes for breakfast BOTH days (a treat for me because I don’t usually eat carbs/sweets), I made my second attempt at pie (Apple), we finally decorated our Christmas tree, and I even made some awesome ornaments!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

Sometimes, I get caught up in the frivolous and forget that the holidays is all about being surrounded by people you love. I grew up with a huge family where the house was filled with at least 10 people at any given moment; this is the first Christmas in years that I felt like I was back in the Philippines. I hope yours was as good, if not better than mine! xx

Christmas in New York: Oh Gotham. Why are you so beautiful?

Decided to take a stroll after work the other night. I think that New York is most beautiful around the holidays. The festive store displays on 5th, the shops at Bryant Park, and of course, the glimmering tree at Rockefeller Center. I’m walking around with this overwhelming feeling of love for mankind until someone accidentally bumps into me as I’m taking a photograph and I’m immediately filled with irritation and the urgent need to get away. Love the holidays.

Home Decor

That one time I Coveteur’d myself.

If you’ve ever seen Along Came Polly, you’ll know that me Coveteur-ing myself is akin to Phillip Seymour-Hoffman’s character hiring a camera crew to do an E! True Hollywood Story on himself. You know what they say, if want something done, you’ve got to do it yourself. I’m sure that saying counts for Coveteur features.

I love furnishing for the holidays. The smell of the tree, the twinkle lights, all the shiny things! Of course, when it comes to decorating, I’m more or a purist: I limit myself to white lights, gold and silver ornaments, & absolutely no colors because it clashes with my decor. So anyway, I figured I’d share photos of the new apartment in all its festive glory.

All furniture are furnished by Handpainted By Cookie.

Also, below is an amazing photo that took about 938745987 takes. I can’t help it I’m so photogenic.
