I’m a bit sad that Summer Fridays will soon be over. My little tradition of wandering the streets of Manhattan with Brian in search of graffiti and stopping somewhere for late lunch will be replaced with a longer workday in the office. Urg.
A couple of Fridays ago, we finally got to stop by Made Nice. I first heard about it when Shepard Fairey mentioned painting a large wall for this eatery. Made Nice has a relatively small, well-curated menu from the guys behind Eleven Madison Park (if you’ve never been, you HAVE to experience it – it’s one of my favorites). Recently, the NY Times & Eater both published articles talking about how Made Nice falls short of it’s high-end “counterparts” which makes me sad because I did enjoy my meal there. I thought that the Chicken Rice bowl & the Khao Salad were both yum – I mean, a $15 salad bowl is as ubiquitous in New York as a scavenging pigeon, what do people expect? Our meal was punctuated with a cup of the Milk & Honey soft serve – it was perfect. Click through for more photos!
