Picasso, Baby.

Our last day in Barcelona was packed with more sightseeing, and even more food.

Started out seeing The Giants (behemoth paper mache figures that are commonly used in fiestas), a walk through the Gothic quarter, the Picasso museum, a tour inside Gaudi’s Casa Batllo, a metro trip to Quimet y Quimet for dinner, and finally, a nightcap at Els Quatre Gats – a cafe that used to be frequented by Picasso himself.

Modernisme in Barcelona: Look up! Look Down! Look Through Wrought-Iron Doors!

I knew that our first day in Barcelona was going to be spent walking around The Eixample district, looking at architecture from the Modernisme movement. So I decided to wear this multi-colored geo top from Anthro.

Here are photos from the walking tour – there were so many things to see and so little time!

PS: All photos taken with my trusty iPhone. We brought a digital 35mm but I really cannot be bothered with those things. So heavy, cumbersome, and takes forever to upload/share!
