The Heartbreak Kid

Found these Shawn Michaels sunglasses & I have to say they were worth the 15 minutes I spent inside a Rainbow store.

Also I finally retired my old motorcycle jacket and replaced it with this one from Rebecca Minkoff. It’s soft & buttery & amazingly cozy.

Bag it, Coppin it, Washin it, ‘Bout to go & get some compliments!

I have a favorite thrift store in New Jersey and I’m not telling you which one. All I can say is that it’s huge, resembles a warehouse, and you have to dig through CARTONS of clothes based on handwritten labels on the boxes. I bought this tunic from there for a whopping $8 after rummaging through a box that’s been labeled “70’s Rayon”. Amazing.

Feck yes, no tights!

So I just found out that House is now on Netflix. Goodbye social life (or whatever is left of it). In other news, I wore this last week when I slept over a college friend’s apartment in New Jersey. Girls’ night in with wine and chinese take-out was exactly what I needed.

From the Archives: Gaultier at the Brooklyn Museum, Buffalo Exchange, & White Manna burgers!

I cannot believe I almost forgot to share photos from the Gaultier Exhibit! Not that it really matters at this point because I’m sure everyone’s seen and heard about it on social media (especially the holographic faces on the mannequins). It was really great to see the clothes in person – I honestly didn’t realize Gaultier’s scope and influence on pop culture, directly or arbitrarily. Anyway, Le Boyfriend bought tickets for Valentine’s Day weekend but because of the head injury I got from The Great Fall of February, we had to wait until the next weekend to venture out to Brooklyn for the exhibit. Scroll below for some pics of my faves.

It’s Tax Refund Season!

I might have mentioned it on my Instagram that this is the first year that I’ve gotten a tax refund since I graduated college & started working. Truest thing in the world. I think I was filling out my forms incorrectly so I always ended up owing money.

So what did I do with the refund, you ask? Did I raid the nearby Kate Spade store? Nope. Did I splurge at Berdorfs? Definitely not. Did I buy a new iMac? I WISH. I didn’t do any of that. I was too excited to pay my bills! The sad part is, I’m being serious when I say I was REALLY excited. So excited in fact, that I OVERPAID MY BILLS and almost cleaned out my whole checking account. I had to transfer from my savings so I wouldn’t get charged for being under the minimum. *le sigh*

I feel like an adult.
