It’s my most capable looking outfit!

Channeled Cher Horowitz with this outfit. I mean, if you wear anything plaid and pair it with an A-line skirt, tights/knee highs, & flats, you pretty much look like you raided her closet.

The Mean Reds, Mac Conner, & American Food Porn.

This weekend was super chill but eventful. My Saturday consisted of a trip to the Museum of the City of New York for the Mac Conner exhibit, burgers and fries at The Fireplace, and a visit with my mom and sis. Click through for more photos of the exhibit and some major food porn Americana-style!

Madison Square Eats: A Cure for the Case of the Mondays!

Yesterday was beautiful. And no, I didn’t have a case of the Mondays. Quite the opposite, actually. I just wanted to share these gifs.

I woke up feeling the EXACT opposite of this. Probably because New York City was being insanely gorgeous.

& so was my hair.

So as not to waste a good New York (and hair) day, Brian and I took a stroll down to Madison Square Park for some bites and drinks. Let me just say that $16 for a lobster roll is a tad on the pricey side but seriously, I’d get two. Because those things are amazing.

If you haven’t gone, you should. They have food stalls, tables, & you can drink beer and wine! I’d spend every night after work there if I can.

Last Night: Dinner at Philippe & Cynthia Nixon.

I’ve lived in other countries and cities but nothing can really compare to living in New York City. Your day can start off like a normal work day, then you run into an actor you’ve watched since the pilot aired on HBO, and finally the day ends with dinner in a cellar, eating family-style with friends, old and new, to celebrate someone’s return to the city.

I know people say this all the time but the phrase, “Only New York” is very much rooted in something more than just a PR ploy. (At least that’s what I tell myself every time I pay $18 for a cocktail.)

Pretty In Pink, Holi, & Doughnuts!

So this weekend has been pretty eventful.

Dressed up as Molly Ringwald circa-Pretty in Pink for an awesome 80’s-themed birthday party last Friday night, went to a Holi celebration in Brooklyn on Saturday, and got to try the doughnuts at Dough Loco on Sunday. You know Summer is on the horizon when people in your life start coming out of their caves & waking up from hibernation.
